"I'm Too Old To Wear That"

Blah, blah, blah.If I had a dollar for everytime that I have heard women say
that in our store, I’d be rich. I have learned to embrace my age of 53 years.
I’m not going to lie, sometimes that number gets stuck somewhere in the
back of my throat, however, I consider myself blessed to have experienced
every one of those years. What I refused to do, is limit what I wear
according to how many birthdays have passed. When I come out of the
dressing room in a dress that may be above my knees, I don’t automatically
think, “am I too old for this?” I’m thinking “how do I look in this?”, “how does
this outfit make me feel?” If the answer is “great!!!”, I buy it. Age is just a
number girls!!! You may be in your 50’s, 60’s,or 70’s, but, how old do you
“feel”? Don’t let that number limit you. This mad world limits you with
enough stereotypes. Don’t limit YOURSELF. - Kate

  • I have visited your store 2 times while I have been visiting friends in St. Marys. I LOVE your store, the cute clothes and the girls that you have working for you are so sweet and helpful! I was actually there last weekend for New Year’s and I came in & got some really cute Christmas trees and a lovely beige silky blouse!!! I will be back every time I come down there. Thank you!

  • Kate, excellent blog post! I’m 59 and LOVE the clothes at Southern Saints. I have to visit the store every time I’m in town seeing my parents. Age is a state of mind and life is too short! Wear what makes you feel good is my motto. 😊💕

  • I am so guilty of saying this. Thank you, Kate for giving us some wise words to think on.
